Organic Palm Sugar, is a natural sweetener derived from the sap of the aren palm tree (Arenga pinnata). The sap, called nira, is collected from the flower buds of the palm tree. After harvesting, the sap is boiled until it thickens and is then molded or left to harden into sugar.
